Newsletter 13th Mar – 10th Apr 2017

Hello, we’re feeling cheerful as it looks as though Spring has sprung and whilst we can’t boast UFO shaped clouds or cheetahs on the loose, or do anything to accelerate the interminable machinations of Brexit, or  prevent the next lot of rail strikes, we are pleased to bring you the latest events, opportunities and news in the sector, our newest Meet the Artist profile and details of our upcoming events, all of which we’re really excited about.

Bookings are still being taken for Make.Practice.Perfect, our annual event at The Collection in Lincoln on Friday 24th March. If you haven’t got your ticket yet, you’ll want to get it soon so as not to miss the day’s proceedings and our fantastic contributors.

You can also book your place at  our next open event for The Start of Something: Reflections and Next Steps at Derby QUAD in April.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at these events, find out more below.

The Start of Something
Reflections and next steps – QUAD – Friday 28th April, 2.30 – 5.30pm
At this FREE event attendees will be able to introduce new topics of conversation for possible CVAN EM investment and hypothesise over what might happen in the region, informally over refreshments. They will also hear from groups whose conversations have already received support as they reflect on their progress so far and their future plans.
Tell us you’re coming!

In Another Place
We hope you’ve seen the publicity for this new project, which will see us working with a group of selected organisations on a region-wide publicity and engagement campaign, featuring billboards presented around the region in May – July 2018.
We will be inviting expressions of interest soon.

Meet the Artist
As we thank Theo Miller for being our outgoing featured artist, we welcome Emma Davies as our latest Meet the Artist participant. Read her profile to find out more about her practice.

Document
Find out more about our project artists at Make.Practice.Perfect on 24th March in Lincoln as they discuss things that they have benefited from and that have helped them in their careers.
