CVAN EM seeks artist member for its Steering Group

The Contemporary Visual Arts Network East Midlands (CVAN EM) is seeking a new artist member for its Steering Group. This member will strengthen the voice of the artist within the Group and help ensure that CVAN EM is as connected to studio practice and the independent sector as possible. Candidates must be based in the East Midlands region and the chosen individual will be selected in order to help us maintain our commitment to represent the geographic breadth of the region at Steering Group level. The commitment for this member will be to attend 3 Steering Group meetings per year and to participate in at least one project group, including attending relevant meetings. Tenure is for 3 years, with the possibility of being extended. A fee for attendance will be paid and travel expenses will be covered.

The role of this voluntary Group is to oversee, engage in and advocate for its activities. It meets three times a year in different locations within the region. Members of the group are recruited on the strength of their relevant expertise and their capacity to be involved, and on their engagement with and commitment to CVAN EM’s mission and aims. The Group features representatives from key regional visual arts organisations and individuals from the visual arts community, including artists.

If you are interested in joining our Steering Group please submit your expression of interest and email an up to date CV to coordinator@cvaneastmidlands.co.uk by 31st December. View more information at steering-group-artist-member-recruitment-pack. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and/or meet for an informal conversation.
