100s & 1000s exhibition is the collection of works by three Fine Art Students who are graduating from the MA Fine Art programme at the University of Northampton. The exhibition is the culmination of works, theories, and critical thinking which form the foundation of their individual methodologies within a Fine Art practice.
The process of research, development of their skills and the critical engagement that has been key to these three post graduates’ studies have prepared them for their career beyond the University within an academic environment and more. This exhibition allows their work to be seen as a collection.
EXHIBITING ARTISTS
Robin Clements focuses his practice on capturing the ephemerality of the urban hinterland. Within the identifiable scenes which are constructed, Robin looks for subtle social narratives which can often be missed or even willfully ignored.
Flower Jubber’s work holds a vibrant visual representation recalling memories of her life in South Africa as a child. She uses objects and has created pieces with paint, print and surface reflecting the flavours and places she was absorbed within.
Marie Byrne paints images depicting Labour and the symbols we naturally associate with ideas of the physical in our work. Marie’s interest in signs and our perceptions of their definition is a further outline in her practice.
