Network is a peer to peer support and critique group for visual artists based in and around Derby. It is an opportunity to connect with other artists in a relaxed and friendly environment, to show and talk about your work and that of your peers, and to discuss the issues that affect us, including funding, exhibitions, and what it’s like being a visual artist in Derby and the East Midlands.
Our first event features an illustrated talk by Olivia Punnett, an artist and curator based at Haarlem Studios in Wirksworth. Olivia will talk about her practice and experience.
Each Network event is led by Tim Shore (CVAN EM Document artist) and Peter Bonnell (Senior Curator, QUAD) with meetings planned for every two months at QUAD throughout the year and for the foreseeable future.
We’re planning an afternoon full of conversation, information, talks and pecha kucha style portfolio presentations from artists attending Network.
Network is open to artists working in any media, at any stage in their career. Subsequent meetings will feature guest artists/curators who will talk about their practice, with the remainder of the time for artist presentations.
It’s free to attend, but places are extremely limited, so please book online or via QUAD Box Office on 01332 290606

This event is kindly sponsored by CVAN-EM: https://cvaneastmidlands.co.uk/
