About

Join us for the launch of a new artist installation and a talk exploring the relationship between insects, people and trees.

Justin Carter is our latest artist in residence at Fineshade Wood. His installation, Blood from Stone – Impressions of Life, is inspired by the regional relationship between Oak and Ore and the forest as a site of ancient industry.

Justin is Reader in Contemporary Practice: Art & Environment and Lecturer in Sculpture & Environmental Art at Glasgow School of Art.

Susannah O’Riordan is the Roots of Rockingham Project Officer for the Back from the Brink project, led by Butterfly Conservation.

This event is free but booking is essential: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/artist-talk-justin-carter-susannah-oriordan-tickets-52005683399

Talk starts at 7pm prompt.
