Join us for the launch of a new artist installation and a talk exploring the relationship between insects, people and trees.
Justin Carter is our latest artist in residence at Fineshade Wood. His installation, Blood from Stone – Impressions of Life, is inspired by the regional relationship between Oak and Ore and the forest as a site of ancient industry.
Justin is Reader in Contemporary Practice: Art & Environment and Lecturer in Sculpture & Environmental Art at Glasgow School of Art.
Susannah O’Riordan is the Roots of Rockingham Project Officer for the Back from the Brink project, led by Butterfly Conservation.
