About

In 2014 a series of community print workshops were conducted by designers Dave Bramston and YeLi at NCCD as part of their ongoing creative practice. Since 2014 the project has continued to develop and has involved other designers in China and the UK.

In 2016 Dave Bramston and South Korean designer Miyoung Jang developed the community project further by conducting street fashion workshops in Guangzhou China and Lincoln, UK. Using a range of found objects, the designers worked with the community to create prints that were made into a collection of fashion garments.

The resulting project Jelly: Street Fashion will be exhibited at NCCD whilst Dave Bramston and a team of designers will be in residence for two weeks offering free drop-in workshops for visitors to participate in what will culminate in a community fashion show on Friday 15 June.
