About

Pangaea Sculptors’ Centre and Four/Four are delighted to present Emily Stollery, Tangible Nothings and Momentary Happenings. Emily’s sculptural practice focuses on form and is led by the seductive properties of materials. Manipulating materials in ways that go against their natural propensity, her resulting sculptural assemblages openly manifest the struggles of her process.

The exhibited artwork is a result of a two-week on site residency, responding to the specific and physical context of the gallery. She will bring with her pre-made elements or potential component parts for the new installation, including those cast in aluminium and bronze at Lockbund Sculpture Foundry, part of our Sculpture Production Award 2019.

With special thanks to Simon Allison and the whole team at Lockbund who made Emily’s residency possible.
