About
Relax and get creative making your own clay cup or spoon.
Take some time out for yourself and join Alice Peake for an online ceramics workshop. You’ll start by learning how to handle, roll and mark/add texture to the clay before moving on to form the clay into cups or spoons. You’ll then be shown how to add finishing touches to your piece.
You will need:
- Air drying clay
- Old yogurt pots/jam jars
- Old pieces of cardboard/paper and plastic bags (for imprinting textures)
- Toilet roll tubes
- Tool(s) for cutting and shaping the clay. These do not have to be special clay tools, you can use anything you have at home.
This event will be streamed via Facebook Live from the LU Arts Facebook page.
Alice’s Palaces is an interior designer sole trading company set up by Alice Peake after graduating from Loughborough earlier this year. Alice’s main purpose is to produce and make soft furnishings and art prints which can be sold to an upmarket clientele who seek one-off, handmade and bespoke design. Alongside this business venture, Alice also provides art workshops to the local community which come under different medias, such as ceramics, print and life drawing lessons.
