About

Film screening & Talk

At the intersection of art, social injustice, and womanhood, The Art of Oppression – directed by Patricia Francis, is a documentary about resilience and hope. The film follows three women artists who use their art to articulate their experiences of belonging, identity trauma and loss. The Art of Oppression is set within the context of populism, patriarchy, and the debilitating legacy of colonialism.

Join us for the premiere of this new film, followed by a discussion with Patricia Francis, the featured artists, and special guests.
