About
TrackSound is an eclectic project aiming to establish and celebrate the role of music as a language, restoring soundtracks as a storytelling device. TrackSound challenges its audience to become an active listener of performances that involve music and arts.
The first TrackSound event is a projection of Segundo De Chomón’s The War and Momi’s dream (1917) – thought to be the first Italian animated film. A child, playing with his beloved toy soldiers, hears about his father’s heroic actions at the front. He is so impressed that he finds himself dreaming of a war undertaken by his own toys, magically animated.
This screening will be accompanied by an original soundtrack composed by Michele Catania, premiering in the UK by a four-piece chamber music ensemble conducted by Ginevra Paniati.
This screening is suitable for families.
This event is the first guest project at Fermynwoods Contemporary Art’s The Arches.
