About

Do Birds Hit in the Woods

Join us for a day in the woods with Birds Hit Records for a unique opportunity to cut your own custom vinyl record. Each bespoke vinyl record will be formed individually, cut by a lathe in real time.

Birds Hit Records are a Manchester company specialising in handcrafted, small batch production of vinyl. Specialist sound engineer John will share his expert knowledge and experience of making lathe cut records and help you to create your own vinyl disc.*

Participants will learn about the history of vinyl records, discover the magic of lathe cutting and learn how to edit sound recordings specifically for putting onto vinyl.

A vegetarian lunch is included. Please come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoors.
