Exhibition of new paintings, music and an artist film by Gavin Repton

Woven/Ground presents new paintings and the release of a new album of music by Mexican born artist Geoff Diego Litherland.

Since 2016 Litherland has been developing a new way of making paintings, by growing them. Using grown and found hand spun flax he has woven his own patterned canvasses to paint on. The exhibition will also present Within the Surface a 10 min film by Gavin Repton that follows the making and ideas behind the work.

The paintings are presented in an immersive gallery environment, with an accompanying sound installation that uses tracks from his new album, made by generating by his weave patterns into sound. The album is available as a 20-page publication and includes a download link to the music.
