Visual Artist for Early Years project

Made in Corby are working with Pen Green Centre for Children and their Families to create a sculpture or installation on the subject of light. The final product will be displayed as part Grow Festival in Corby town centre on the evenings of the 7th & 8th February 2020. The work will then become a permanent fixture in one of Pen Green’s garden or play areas. We are looking for a Visual Artist to create a final sculpture, object or installation inspired by work created by children. Rupture: coaching for socially engaged practitioners

Following the successful delivery of a recent pilot with a small cohort of artists, we’re now delighted to announce a coaching support programme for early career artists from any art form directly engaged in or passionate about socially engaged practice. Coaching is a short-term approach to professional development. It can help you to meet goals that seem out of reach, and unblock challenges that seem stuck. ‘Rupture’ will use the format of group coaching for up to 12 early career artists, led by Sarah Bailey. Sarah is a trained coach with over 15 years experience in the cultural sector. She will help you to reconnect with your purpose; improve your working practice; discover new solutions to old problems; and, lead and support change.

Open call to artists to join the Derby Ram Trail

Derby Museums are looking for artists, both well-known and as yet undiscovered, to submit their designs for the unique 3D canvas of the mythical Derby Ram sculpture as part of the Derby Ram Trail next summer.
