Key areas of the role include:

  • Develop new partnerships within the creative and cultural sectors with the aim of maintaining the expanding the network of venues for Crafts Council Collection Loans and Touring Exhibition Programme.
  • Co-ordinate the collation and dissemination of data, evaluation and information relating to the Crafts Council Exhibition programme.
  • Promote and co-ordinate Collection loan initiatives;
  • Promote and co-ordinate all aspects of the Crafts Council Touring Exhibition Programme
  • Ensure the successful installation of touring exhibitions.
  • Work closely with Keeper of Collections on storage management needs
  • Assess appropriateness of venues requesting loans

Reporting to the Head of Exhibitions and Collections, and working closely with all Exhibitions & Collections colleagues and external stakeholders, the Touring and Loans Manager contributes to, and helps deliver on, key strategic objectives across our programme comprising Loans and Touring Exhibitions, venue partnerships, and audience development.
