ArtSpeak is an outreach programme for people aged 60 and above with the aim of reducing social isolation and loneliness by providing opportunities for them to engage in a varied arts programme.
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic Artists with experience in delivering workshops to deliver engaging and stimulating workshops, for our members. Workshops can cover various Artforms and be delivered in any of the following formats.
– Indoor workshops
A two-hour workshop for a limited number of participants with social distancing measures in place. These will be held at our main centre – 25 Prospect Street, Radford, Nottingham and other appropriate venues across the City.
Artists will be responsible for providing materials and equipment as required for all participants and keeping this equipment sanitised and clean before and after use.
– Live online workshops
Workshops will be delivered live and can be held over Zoom. There will be a limit on the number of participants that sign up and ArtSpeak will administrate booking and attendance.
These workshops should include: an introduction, tips and guidance around the task, follow along exercises, and a Q&A section. The length of workshop will be determined by content.
– Pre – recorded online workshops
Workshops that are simple and effective and can be followed along by participants in their own home. These will form short, bitesize videos to help participants explore new techniques or a new artform.
Artists will be invited to deliver their workshop in a studio space set up by ArtSpeak. ArtSpeak will be responsible for recording the workshop and editing the footage.
Please visit our website for the full brief. We aim to begin these workshops in mid-late October. This is an ongoing opportunity and we will review proposals as we receive them.
