Artist Commission for Waddington, Lincs – Deadline extension

Ridges & Furrows: an arts and heritage project involving the community in the development of new public artworks – £19k (inc all fees and materials)

We require a contemporary artist/s with a track record of delivering high quality, innovative projects that successfully engage with the community. You must demonstrate a clear interest in uncovering and interpreting heritage and have experience of working in the public realm.

The artist will:

• Work with the R&F historian, community groups and schools to deliver a programme of public engagement that will discover histories, folklore and personal stories in Waddington relating to the project theme (see  brief)
• Share this research through events, temporary interpretation and (funding pending) permanent artworks in Waddington
• Devise a celebratory way to reveal and announce the outcomes and installations.
