Artist Curator Traineeships

We are looking for two emerging artist-curators who will work with us across 18 months and be involved in many aspects of Eastside Projects.

Artist-curating is a self-taught profession which you learn through hands on experience.  To gain the practical and creative knowledge and skills an artist-curator requires, you’ll need to work with others, collaborate and be open to learning from everyone around you.

Artist-curators organise their own reality and arrange things and thoughts in space and time to make their ideas possible. These roles are designed to support potential and emerging artist-curators, people who may, or may not, have the confidence to define themselves as an artist, artist-curator or artist-organiser at the moment, but know they want to use art to make their own projects, exhibitions or organisations as artworks in the future.
