Artist Residency Call Out

We are overjoyed to announce that applications for our brand new residency programme are now LIVE. This residency is designed as an opportunity for artistic development, providing space, facilities, support and mentorship as part of our programme The Cost of Innovation.

The Cost of Innovation is a three year investment in cutting edge tools and new forms of working supported by Arts Council England – our first investment is an incredible LiDAR scanner.

We welcome applications from two core locations. ONE – A UK artist with particular interest in applications local to their NEW base at Yorkshire Sculpture Park TWO – with thanks to the support of The Finnish Institute an artist from Finland.

This is a month long residency to take place in August this summer. We will be hosting open workshops for you to meet us, the LiDAR and see the space. Keep an eye on our socials and sign up to our newsletter for these to be announced.

The residency is specifically designed for artists wanting to explore the use of LiDAR as a medium with access to scanners, processing suite, multiple playback systems and laser projectors from our studio. The only output we expect is that the learning/workflows/tools that you come up with are shared with the sector as a whole promoting an open source approach to digital art.
