Artist/Sessional worker

Artcore operates as a cultural hub in Derby, fuelling active engagement for various communities in Derby, East Midlands and beyond, to enhance lives by sharing knowledge and skills through art and helping individuals to understand the benefits of art. Artcore works supporting various visual art projects, we provide to outdoor events as well as hold activities in house at Artcore. Artcore is always looking for enthusiastic Artists to join our Artist associate group to help deliver our projects.

Currently there are various opportunities for Artists to deliver activities and projects. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to work within local communities and with people of all ages and abilities, from diverse backgrounds and in supporting the creative team and projects at Artcore.

The ideal candidates will be creative individuals who have experience of teaching and working within communities and have attended relevant Safeguarding training. They should have experience of working in various settings such as schools, community centres, etc. They will be professional experienced artist with a background working with a variety of visual arts mediums. They will facilitate, plan and deliver our projects as a part of the Artcore Team.

Job roles and responsibilities:

To plan/ organise all aspects of creative session delivery
Work with the project coordinator to ensure all tools, materials and equipment are ordered and quality controlled.
Deliver sessions adhering to Policies and procedures of the Artcore charity.
Assist the project coordinator in all necessary feedback and monitoring processes, during the sessions including photographic and video evidence.
The role will involve working evenings, weekends and/or holiday times.
