Nottingham Contemporary is one of largest and leading centres for contemporary art in the UK. We opened in 2009 to great acclaim in a landmark new building by Caruso St John in the middle of Nottingham. We have welcomed over 1.3 million visitors since then. We also produce and present ambitious group exhibitions, such as Still I Rise: Feminisms, Gender, Resistance; The House of Fame; The Place Is Here;Monuments Should Not Be Trusted;Glenn Ligon: Encounters and Collisions, which situate artistic practices within a wide field of ideas.
