Chief Executive Officer

Charnwood Arts is a successful and established (incorporated 1976) community arts and media organisation based in the Borough of Charnwood, East Midlands. Charnwood Arts works with many partners across all art forms to support local cultural development and to encourage participation in the arts for all with an outstanding reputation for its innovative international partnerships that connect the local with the global and its commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Due to the long-term illness of current Chief Executive Kevin Ryan, we are looking for a dynamic Chief Executive Officer with strategic leadership skills to manage and develop the organisation and its project portfolio including a significant capital project. The successful candidate will have a leading role, working with the Trustees, in realising Charnwood Arts ambitious development plans. The position is 0.8 FTE/30 hours and initially offered for 12 months with the possibility of a further extension subject to performance and funds. Flexible working and job share arrangements will be considered in negotiation with candidates. Salary will be up to £40k pro rata.

The right candidate will have proven leadership and management ability with excellent communication skills and experience of working with multiple stakeholders to deliver a shared vision. We are looking for someone with experience of fundraising, financial management, project management, managing teams (3 staff plus freelancers and volunteers) and working to tight deadlines.
