Communities Programmer

Nottingham Contemporary is a leading international art gallery with a strong local sense of purpose. Each year over 160, 000  people visit us and around 26,000 participants take part in our Learning programme for families, communities, schools and young people. Our gallery strives to be a welcoming, inspiring place for all people to enjoy. The role of the Communities Programmer plays an important part in helping us reach new, diverse audiences from our city.

Passionate about community collaboration and arts education your proven ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with community groups, support agencies and family networks will mean you are ideally equipped to increase and develop ongoing audience participation.  Your previous project management experience will be invaluable as you build a dynamic programme of activity to  improve the accessibility of our gallery, connecting us with various community groups and supporting our family programme.  Positive, well organised self-motivated you will enjoy working in a busy environment and as part of a supportive team.

The ability to identify opportunities for development in different and diverse communities is essential and experience of funding applications and fundraising is highly desirable.
