Creative Producer (Trainee): Participation

The Creative Producer (Trainee):Participation will be part of a team formed to deliver a 3-year programme of artistic commissions of excellence in Lincoln funded through Arts Council England Ambitions for Excellence.

Working with leading contemporary artists and internationally renowned creative team, Thirteen Ways, supporting all aspects including engaging with residents & communities though discussion, informal gatherings, workshops & events.

Responsibilities:

–      Researching & contacting local groups and individuals

–      Setting-up & maintaining database of networks

–      Administering & supporting delivery of public programme

–     Managing group visits, talks, workshops

–     Supporting delivery of marketing including social media

–     Documenting the project on a day-to day basis

–     Ordering, researching, managing equipment and resources

The full-time traineeship (12 months with a possibility of a 6 month extension) with a development programme including mentoring Candidates with significant, directly relevant experience and/or relevant artistic practice with a capacity to vary their working hours (min 30hrs rising to 40hrs) will be considered. A substantial proportion of role will be focused on public programme delivery. Hours flexible to incorporate weekend and evening programming.

Desirable qualities/qualifications:

–       Knowledge of local communities and cultural scene

–       Strong communications skills, ability to build and maintain networks

–       Self-motivated and flexible with a pro-active, hands-on attitude

–       Experience of event or building support in cultural sector

–       Understanding of contemporary cultural practice

–       Experience in a creative field through education or practice
