Creative writing bursary

AirSpace Gallery is inviting applications from writers for a creative writing commission, to create a new piece of work, on the subject of The Brownfield.

There is no bar to the form of creative writing the submitted piece may take – the only stipulation is that it should be no more than 1500 words.

The commissioned work will be featured within The Brownfield Research Centre exhibition, running at AirSpace Gallery from 15th June to 22nd July, 2017. The work will also be exhibited on the Gallery’s website.

The successful applicant will receive £150 for their work.

Applicants should submit the following in electronic form:

• A CV detailing your writing experience
• 2 samples of creative work (3 pages max each)
• An outline proposal for the commission

These should be sent to mail@airspacegallery.org no later than midnight, May 25th, 2018.

The application will be considered by a panel drawn from the Gallery’s directors and Board.

All applicants will be informed of our decision by June 1st 2018.

***The completed work will need to be submitted no later than June 21st, 2018***

Please note that unfortunately, this opportunity is not open to anyone currently in full-time education.
