We are looking for three artist/companies for regular work in Corby from October 2019 to March 2020, to:
- Lead regular sessions (at least fortnightly) with an inter-generational group of local residents
- Co-create a new piece of art to be showcased to the wider community in March 2020.
We are open to suggestions of how work is shared and would envisage either performances, films or exhibitions. There is a small budget for additional activity, such as workshops, non-arts activities and refreshments, around each sharing. The allocation of this will be decided by participants at each centre.
Co-creation and community-led decision-making are essential aspects of our work and we believe that art is truly co-created when participants not only create the work, but are able to work alongside an artist to decide upon the theme, design and sharing of it. In line with this belief, the successful artists will be selected in collaboration with users of each community centre, who will be given the responses to consider and score.
