Cultural Quarter Sign

An opportunity has arisen for a commissioned artist(s) to work on a welcome and celebration sign for St. George’s Cultural Quarter; a stimulating dynamic space for a wide range of formal and informal cultural activities in the heart of Leicester City Centre.

This project provides the scope and challenge to; create a vibrant, innovative welcome image celebrating the residents, heritage, and organisations of the area; capture the true essence and atmosphere of this district; produce a public artwork that signposts the Quarter, drawing on, engaging with and reinforcing Leicester’s celebrated cultural diversity.

Artists wishing to put themselves forward should register by sending an expression of interest to: arts@leicester.gov.uk with Cultural Quarter Sign Application clearly stated in the subject field.
