Delivery Artist (Digital Media/Young People)

Artcore is looking for experienced artists to deliver a block of 5 sessions for its Art Enhancing Life education and learning programme.

Art Enhancing Life Education and Learning help address issues faced by young people including those who have been excluded from school, or are at risk of anti-social behaviour. Artcore intends to use Art activities in a way to reach identified target groups, giving them the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of art. These sessions are held on Fridays during term time (4.45pm – 6.45pm).

You must be able to demonstrate how you could use digital media to engage young and support their learning. We envisage that this will be a collaborative project, whereby young will act as curators or facilitators of their own learning. Thus, we mean that the artists must be willing to be flexible and adaptable to the young’s needs.

We would like to hear from artists working in the following, but not limited to:

Photography
Sculpture and Installation Art
2DAnimation
Video (and new media art)
With a specific focus on Science and Nature.

Artist Specification:
You should be able to demonstrate experience of leading workshops with vulnerable young people.
You will be responsible for your own tax, national insurance and Public Liability insurances.
You must hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate (within the last two years
Driving license and access to a car would be desirable but not essential
