A 500 acre estate set within the beautiful surroundings of the Yorkshire countryside, YSP provides a stunning and unique backdrop for its permanent and visiting world class exhibitions. Yorkshire Sculpture Park has evolved over the last 40 years into a world renowned site, and is considered to be one of the best places worldwide to see contemporary and modern sculpture, attracting 500,000 visitors per year from all over the world.

With multiple new capital projects on the horizon, and the need to develop areas of new strategic direction and growth, Yorkshire Sculpture Park is seeking exceptional candidates to work with Peter Murray CBE, Executive Director and Founder, as Deputy Director.

Candidates will bring excellent strategic leadership skills and will work with Peter to ensure that YSP continues to be a global player in the production and exhibition of contemporary sculpture. They will be an inspiring leader of people, and will be able to foster a high performing, entrepreneurial, innovative and supportive working culture. Candidates must possess excellent financial and business acumen, and will be responsible for the financial management of the organisation. S/he will have excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people at all levels. Candidates will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges facing UK arts organisations in today’s climate.
