The Hepworth Wakefield has welcomed over two million visitors since opening in May 2011 and is now firmly established as a major local, national and international attraction, winning Art Fund Museum of the Year in 2017. We present an outstanding programme of historical and contemporary exhibitions alongside displays drawn from Wakefield’s collection of 20th-century and contemporary art. In an expansion of our waterfront site, in Summer 2019 we will open outdoor sculpture displays in a new Hepworth Wakefield Garden, designed by Tom Stuart-Smith.
We are seeking a Development Assistant with impeccable attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills to join the Communications & Development team at The Hepworth Wakefield. It is an exciting time in our development and growth as we complete our capital campaign to transform our wider site and as we plan towards our 10th anniversary.
As Development Assistant, you will provide dedicated administrative support to the fundraising team to help us reach our ambitious fundraising targets. You will implement efficient procedures to ensure excellent stewardship of all gallery supporters, maintain accurate financial reporting and data management. Acting as the first point of call for gallery supporters, it is essential that you have good communication skills and an understanding of fundraising.
