Development Manager

Harewood House is one of England’s finest country houses and one of Yorkshire’s leading visitor attractions. Harewood House Trust is a registered charity and cares for 120 acres of spectacular parkland, gardens and grounds and of course Harewood House itself and its enviable collections.

We are open to the public year round, will welcome over 220,000 visitors next year, run an award winning education and public engagement programme and have over 16,000 members. Our inaugural bienniale exhibition Useful Beautiful which opened in March 2019 achieved national and international media coverage.

To be able to continue to share these rich assets now and in the future the Trust is developing its fundraising operation to ensure that we continue to develop ambitious and welcoming programmes that encourage visitors to return again and again and also to continue our important conservation work to protect this special place for future generations.

The Development Manager will work closely with the Deputy Director, Director, senior management team and trustees to identify and secure philanthropic gifts and strategic corporate partnerships. We want to deepen our engagement with our audiences and key stakeholders to create a strong community of donors.
