Engagement Curator

The Henry Moore Institute is one of the world’s leading centres for the study of sculpture, offering a programme of exhibitions that complements and animates its broader research activities.

Reporting to the Head of HMI Programmes, the Engagement Curator is a new position overseeing the development and delivery of a fully integrated and innovative learning and engagement programme that is integral to the activities of the Institute. Working closely with the exhibitions and research teams and collaborating with strategic partners, the post-holder will develop an inclusive approach to engagement and audience development, specifically including schools, families, community groups, students, artists and creative professionals.

The Engagement Curator will understand the needs of a broad range of audiences and will have the vision to create vibrant, successful learning and engagement programmes that are highly audience focused. Collaborating with and contributing to the important existing partnerships in the region, the post-holder will promote opportunities for audiences to engage with and enjoy sculpture.

The successful candidate will be an arts graduate with an active and informed interest in the visual arts; and with at least three years’ experience of running an education, learning or engagement programme in a public art or cultural institution, providing activities for a wide range of audiences. Combining excellent project management with people skills, you will have a demonstrable track record in the planning and delivery of public events and programmed activities.
