Exhibition Programme Manager

DKUK provides excellent haircuts, colours and scalp treatments, which our clients receive while experiencing art. We exist to make viewing and discussing art more commonplace, and support artists by commissioning works from them and training them as hairdressers. We are growing to be among the most creative hairdressing companies in the sector.

We are currently looking for an Exhibition Programme Manager to oversee the smooth running of our projects, exhibitions and events. The candidate must be highly organised, proactive and have good communication skills. We are in the process of moving the business so we are looking for someone who is adaptable and comfortable working in a fast changing environment. The role will be based in the Salon in Peckham.

Responsibilities include:

– Exhibition development

– Liaising with artists

– Coordinating and overseeing installs

– Recruiting casual staff

– Communications & Marketing

– Fundraising

– Managing finances

– Audience monitoring systems

– Evaluating and reporting on Arts Council projects

– Producing exhibition copy

– Supporting Director in salon and business duties

-laying out marketing material on Adobe

– Updating podcast

Person Specification – skills and experience:

– 2 years management experience coordinating artistic programme

– Strong written and verbal communication skills

– Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload

– Excellent administration skills and attention to detail

– Experience using social media platforms and updating WordPress

– Experience writing and proofreading copy

– Experience of fundraising

– experience of handling Arts Council England funded projects

– Comfortable using Adobe Suit Google drive and office

– Collaborative approach to working
