Financial Assistant (Part Time)

The post holder is responsible for the administration of the sales ledger, purchase ledger and cash and bank processing for the National Justice Museum and National Justice Museum Trading Company using our booking system, Merac and Sage Accounting system.

Principle Duties:
• Raise sales invoices in Merac and Sage
• Data entry of bacs, credit card and cheque receipts, with related bookings information in Merac and Sage
• Credit control
• Purchase ledger processing, including matching of invoices to orders and delivery notes
• Issue and recording of all payments, including staff expenses
• Maintain and reconcile customer and supplier accounts
• Maintain bank accounts and perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage and processing of petty cash
• Reconciliation of school and corporate income
• Prepare and post intercompany balances and perform reconciliations
• Posting of journals
• Payroll analysis
• Filing of accounting records accordingly
• Respond to any finance queries in relation to bookings
• General finance administration
• Assist with the production of the annual audit file
• Any other duties consistent with the level of the post
