The 2018 edition of FLUCTU-8 Festival will explore what it means to be a part of a diverse community. The theme for the 2018 edition of the festival is ‘Cultivate’.
The curators are committed to enriching the breadth of talent that exists within the region and cultivating opportunities where graduates will benefit from their work being seen. Divine Locale welcomes work from recent graduates and emerging artists that explore the diverse communities that already exist, encouraging inclusivity, intersectionality and providing insights into the social fabric and its potential fluidity.
Divine Locale encourage submissions from artists with a participatory, interactive and socially engaged practice. We invite artists to apply, who in their work focus on exploring social wellbeing, political and social activism, responding to current affairs as well as vital global issues including feminism, climate change and human rights.
We want to especially hear from those currently underrepresented in the arts such as BAME, LGBTQI+, Working Class, Disabled and Female artists as we want to provide inclusive and intersectional perspectives and narratives within our exhibitions.
