The Curatorial Producer will work with us to develop a number of internationally significant new commissions. Taking responsibility for working with artists and creative teams, the Curatorial Producer will shape projects in collaboration with the Executive Producer and Creative Director, the internal programming team, and several of the core partners of the organisation. They will also create timelines, budgets and support fundraising development to ensure the coordination of logistics to exceptional standards. They will focus on creative development and then logistics in bringing a number of complex projects to fruition.
This role will take specific responsibility for:
- Development of work for programme for 2020
- Event development and support on the year-round programme, alongside the rest of the team.

- Experience of maintaining relationships with partners, including international and high profile
- Adept at generating content ideas and thinking creatively to solve problems
- A fast-paced, multitasker who can work proactively and reactively
- Strong negotiation skills and experience of negotiating and writing contracts
- Ability to work independently
- Deadline and target focussed
- An interest in York and arts/media arts/technology
- Discreet, diplomatic and persuasive
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proven leadership experience
Contract: Fixed term, freelance contract, June-September, with a suggested time commitment of approximately 2 days p/w, with at least 1 day p/w office-based. There is a possibility of this role being extended into the next phase of festival development. Fee: £5,000
