If you are an HR generalist with plenty of experience and ready to take the lead and make your mark in a unique arts organisation that really lives it values of inclusivity, integrity and excellence, then this could be the role for you.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior HR generalist to be first in post in this HR Advisor role, to review and set up HR systems and practices for a unique arts organisation that really believes in supporting its employees.

Acme has been supporting artists since 1972 through the provision of affordable artist studios, housing and an extensive residencies and awards programme. Our mission is to provide the time, space, financial support and other opportunities that artists need. We believe that by reducing the practical challenges that artists face, we increase their ability to take greater creative risks.

Acme employs 20 permanent staff, predominantly on part-time contracts. We all work in the same open-plan office together (though there is a meeting room), and try to have as non-hierarchical approach to people management as possible. A significant proportion of the staff are practising fine artists and balance their career as artists with their work at Acme.

Due to continued growth and advance planning for structural change, we are now seeking a HR Advisor to build on our existing good practice and introduce us to even better ways to manage our people supportively, productively and compliantly.
