The Hepworth Wakefield opened in 2011 to public and critical acclaim. The gallery brings together major works by Barbara Hepworth, alongside Wakefield’s collection of modern British art and a diverse range of historical and contemporary exhibitions.
In July 2017 we were chosen as Art Fund Museum of the Year, and we value all our staff and their role in driving this success. We are committed to engaging with our local communities, and as part of this we offer an exciting and diverse Learning programme for young people, families and adults.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and energetic individual with excellent communication skills to provide administrative support to the Learning team.
You will act as the first port of call for colleagues within the gallery and for Learning audiences, taking bookings from the public for all Learning events and working with the Learning Assistant to ensure that everything is in place for the events to run smoothly.
You will support our Learning volunteers and work across the organisation to share information about Learning events.
You will have an eye for detail and strong IT skills with an ability to provide statistical reports and support budget work.
