Derby Museums is looking for an energetic and proactive Lifelong Learning Programmer with a strong sense of the role that culture, heritage and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) can play in the development of people’s skills, capacities and wellbeing.
With an emphasis on co-producing and facilitating intergenerational learning experiences which engage the head, heart and hands, this role is pivotal in developing and delivering lifelong learning programmes which are co-produced, involving and engaging diverse audiences, enriching the content and relevance of our programmes.
The role includes but is not limited to;
- Devising and implementing engaging, high quality and relevant activities, programmes and projects for informal learning audiences including adults, young people, families and early years, both on and off site, as required.
- Increasing engagement and the diversity of audiences participating in our lifelong learning programmes, to support the development of cultural capital.
- Working with a wide range of organisations and community groups to ensure our programmes are relevant to local audiences and support wider local and national strategies.
This role is based at the Museum & Art Gallery, but you will be required to work at any of our museums as well as offsite.
