Make & Trade Zone Feasibility Study consultancy

Derby City Council is seeking applications to undertake a feasibility study into the creation of a Make and Trade Zone in Derby City Centre. This aims to  to tackle the retail decline and loss of footfall in the city centre, further diversify the economy and help existing and new landlords and traders to re-imagine the uses and function of their buildings to encourage local entrepreneurs to create new and exciting offers for the city centre economy.

Research with the creative community has highlighted a lack of exhibition space, lack of workspace and a need for more developed networks and support structures for creative businesses. It is an expectation that the Feasibility study will consider these issues.

The fee available is up to a maximum of £50,000. The provisional contract start date is 23 March 2020. It is expected the contract could be completed within 12 weeks from mobilisation.

Please note, we will only accept expressions of interest through the e-tendering system, suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation must do so by 15:00 on 5 March 2020. It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. The deadline for returns is 12:00 pm on 6 March 2020.
