The Marketing Assistant will assist with promoting and raising awareness about The Lightbox through effective delivery of the Marketing and PR strategies and campaigns under the guidance of the Operations Manager and Senior Marketing and Communications Officer. The role involves being responsible for generating media leads for local press, taking publicity photographs, providing weekly columns and event listings for press, online directories and national listings and gathering press generated for the monthly report. Marketing duties include the creation and design of in-house marketing literature under the guidance of the Operations Manager and Senior Marketing and Communications Officer.
Assisting with audience research projects will also be required, which may include data collation from exhibition and visitor questionnaires. There will be a requirement to become familiar with the new CRM system Raisers Edge NXT and support the department with various administrative data related administration. There will also be the expectation to liaise with other departments within the organisation such as Learning and Exhibitions to act as a ‘Brand Ambassador’ for the organisation and ensure that all marketing materials are consistent with brand guidelines and executed with excellence.
There may also be some requirement to support the Marketing and Communications Officer with social media marketing tasks, newsletter generation, website updates, blog posts and other digital requirements.
