Marketing Assistant (Visual Art)

The Barbican’s Art Gallery is one of the leading art spaces in the UK. The programme shows the best of international visual art, with a dynamic mix of art, architecture, design, fashion, performance and photography. From acclaimed choreographers to Turner prize-winning artists, the Gallery exhibits artists without boundaries.

The Curve is dedicated to a vibrant and varied programme of new commissions, created by leading international artists in direct response to this distinctive gallery space.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Visual Art and that has an ambition to develop a career in arts marketing. They will thrive in a busy working environment and make valuable contribution towards our marketing strategy. The role supports the work of the Marketing Manager for the Art Gallery and the Curve.

You will be an energetic, articulate, creative and organised person, with initiative and drive. You will engage in a rewarding variety of activity, from participating in brainstorming and planning sessions to implementation of campaigns and generating content across our digital platforms. Ideally you will have some experience within arts/cultural environments and a willingness to learn on the job.
