Membership Officer

The Barber Institute of Fine Arts – the West Midlands’ own mini National Gallery – has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative person to join the team and help develop the Barber Association – the exciting and innovative new membership organisation for the Barber Institute.

Established in January 2017, the Barber Association’s members are passionate about art and music, and want to support the Barber Institute, its programme and activities, with memberships at a range of levels. We have ambitious targets to grow the Association and to encourage existing members to develop their philanthropy, and this post is critical to sustaining ongoing expansion and success.

The Membership Officer (a 0.6FTE post) will lead on delivering key activities to steward existing and recruit new Association members and Patrons. They will also carry out the administration of the Association, taking responsibility for membership and renewal processes and correspondence, and ensuring that these back-of-house activities are accurate, timely and compliant.

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic ideas person with great people and communication skills, who is keen to develop their fundraising and development career in the cultural sector.
