Museum Centre Manager

Sharpe’s Museum & Arts Trust (established in 1999) is seeking a Centre Manager for our landmark building in the cultural quarter of Swadlincote, South Derbyshire. This is a great opportunity to join us as we reach the final stages of our ambitious ‘Supporting the Future’ HLF funded programme, reimagining our vision and developing a new Business Plan.

The Post-holder will play a pivotal role in the development of the new Plan, they will require inspiring and motivational skills, and the ability to transform and enhance our experience creating a community resource and visitor destination that brings South Derbyshire’s industrial heritage to life.

As Centre Manager and the senior staff member you will be responsible for safeguarding this unique building and its pottery collections, developing new partnerships and income generation opportunities, managing the staff team and developing a wide programme of exhibitions, events and family activities.
