National Administrator / Project Manager

AA2A is an ACE, Sector Support Organisation for the Visual Arts, with a funding agreement until 2022.  The role is to manage a ‘digital’ office environment, keep financial systems and support AA2A’s projects.

Applicants need to be Mac users with Digital office organisational skills and a good working knowledge of Word and Excel. They must be able to work from home (computer provided) with reliable Broadband for regular Skype contact and must be prepared to work in the employer’s home office in Sheffield at least once a month.

Annual salary £7,644 (pt-time) plus a home-working allowance of £18 month

The 14 hours a week are to be worked over 3 days, to provide adequate cover. The regular work pattern is negotiable but hours must be worked mainly between 9am – 5pm. Additional hours may be available by negotiation.

We operate with 3 part-time staff who normally work remotely, with daily Skype contact. The project has run for more than 20 years and annually supports 50-100 artists’ residencies in Universities across the country. We manage two websites, aa2a.org and a networking site and are currently running two pilot schemes: giving artists access to collections of museums and proving social-media groups to support self-employment for graduates.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage and develop AA2A’s social media platforms and AA2A websites
  • Support the National Director and Coordinator
  • Manage and assist on the development of AA2A’s projects
  • Deal with general enquiries and correspondence including filing
  • Maintain AA2A’s databases, calendars and digital information
  • Maintain financial systems with respect to purchases and payments
  • Generate invoices, pay invoices, expenses claims etc.
  • Liaise with AA2A’s payroll service providers
  • Organise Directors meetings and take Minutes
  • To work with the other staff on requirements of AA2A funders
