PARALLEL Curatorship Co-ordinator

A unique opportunity has arisen to be part of a successful team delivering a special event – the PARALLEL Curatorship – as part of FORMAT19, a leading International Photography Festival. PARALLEL is a pan-European platform designed and led by Procur.arte and co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union http://parallelplatform.org. The 2019 edition of Curatorship will take place during FORMAT19 and we are looking for a talented project manager to organise and deliver this unique event.

The Curatorship will take place during the launch week for FORMAT 19, in Derby, UK from 14th– 17th March 2019 and will consist of 4-days of public presentations by 30 selected emerging artists to 6 emerging curators, plus private meetings between the PARALLEL team and the 18 European partner arts organisations. The partner organisations, artist and curators are already selected. The co-ordinator’s organisational responsibilities include arranging the Curatorship event with the PARALLEL and FORMAT teams, and booking participant travel, accommodation and hospitality. As the Co-ordinator of the event you will need to have experience of and a passion for artist CPD, working with people and knowledge of project management. With great organisational skills, you must be able to juggle a variety of responsibilities and respond positively to challenges.

Freelance Fee – £2500 (30 days)
