Participation Producer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced participation practitioner to join The Tetley’s Programme Team. This post will organise and deliver the participation programme in line with The Tetley’s Business Plan and Audience Engagement Strategy, with a particular focus on young people and communities. Programmes that come under the Participation Producer’s remit include our regular free family art workshops, the After School Art Club for primary school children, Tetley Teenagers for young people aged 14 – 17, offsite community events, school visits and projects, the volunteer programme and partnerships with organisations such as Pyramid of Arts, Hamara and Health for All.

Over the last four years The Tetley has developed a reputation for its innovative and impactful work with young people, with staff winning the prestigious Marsh Award for Excellence in Gallery Education in 2016, and a nomination for the Leeds Child Friendly Awards for Best Venue for Children and Young People in 2017. The Participation Producer will continue and build on this work ensuring The Tetley provides inspiring and relevant opportunities that stretch, challenge and excite children and young people.

The Participation Producer also oversees our volunteer programme, supervising volunteer recruitment and placement throughout the organisation. The volunteer programme includes Springboard, an annual scheme that supports practicing artists to develop the skills and knowledge needed to deliver workshops for diverse participants.

The deadline for applications is 10am on Monday 20 November and interviews will be held on Monday 27 November. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to unsuccessful applicants. Applicants selected for interview will be contacted by the end of Tuesday 21 November.
