Post Parade – Workshop Facilitator

The NK Arts Partnership is seeking artist facilitators to propose a unique and exciting school’s workshop to create Circus inspired posters! The resulting posters will create a spectacle during a parade on the launch day of our forthcoming exhibition Circus: Performers, Politics and Pop Culture.

We are looking for a range of workshop ideas to suit primary and secondary pupils from a range of visual art forms.

A minimum of 5 workshops will be held at local schools in Sleaford or at NCCD.

A supporting outreach and participation programme will engage public and local schools, offering opportunities through visual arts, aerial and literature. The gallery will be transformed into a space dedicated to participative performing arts for the duration of the exhibition.

Exhibitors include:
Becky Truman, Skinning the Cat (costume)
Tina Bicat & Ockham’s Razor (costume)
Claire Crook – aerialist in residence
Rio Willett – aerialist in residence
Posters from the Richley Archive
Film; archive footage of Circus’, pop-culture films inspired by Circus, films of contemporary circus from Skinning the Cat and Ockham’s Razor
Circus literature (fiction & non-fiction)
