Principal

Clay College Stoke is a unique, independent, self-funded college with an international reputation, teaching ceramic skills to the highest level in the heart of the potteries. Set up by professional potters, the college delivers a comprehensive two-year Diploma course to 14 full-time students, alongside masterclass and evening courses for the wider ceramic community. Our in-house gallery holds an inspired programme of exhibitions, showcasing the best UK and international potters.

– leading, managing, inspiring and developing our small staff team
– the day-to-day organisation and financial management of the college
– the pastoral care of our students, recruitment and admissions
– donor care and fundraising for student bursaries
– developing and overseeing the exhibition programme in the Clay College Gallery

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and administrative skills and a proven track record of developing and implementing strategy. In return we offer a creative, friendly and lively work environment and a competitive salary.
