Programme Assistant (Casual Pool)

Programme Assistants are a vital member of our team, representing the public face of The Tetley and being the first point of contact between visitors and our artistic programme. It is their role to provide a positive, welcoming experience for visitors and audiences by engaging with them face-to-face in a friendly, helpful manner.

Programme Assistants respond to visitor requests for information and also help visitors engage with art works, as well as events and activities at The Tetley. They are also responsible for monitoring the security of art works and the safety of our visitors during gallery opening hours and for gathering and feeding back information on the visitor experience to help us realise our vision and values.

Programme Assistants also play a role in the wider delivery of the programme by supporting events, workshops and exhibition installation and de-installation when required.

Hours are flexible and arranged by mutual advanced agreement. Due to the nature of this role hours vary during the exhibition cycle and there is no guaranteed level of work. The role is most suited to those undertaking other part-time or freelance work or study in the arts. Annual Leave is accrued on a pro-rata basis.
