Project Manager – York Castle Museum Capital Project

York Museums Trust are seeking an imaginative and experienced project manager to join the YMT team at the outset of our ambitious project to redevelop York Castle Museum for a 21st Century audience. This post will manage the project through to Stage One HLF bid submission.

The post holder will work closely with key stakeholders within the museum to coordinate the project plan, manage risk, report regularly against progress, coordinate information for external stakeholders and ensure audience engagement and consultation is embedded into the development and delivery of the project. The post will also project manage the consolidation and relocation of YMT’s collection stores, a key enabler for the York Castle Museum project.

The successful candidate will be experienced in managing complex capital projects, ideally in a museum or heritage environment. They will be comfortable taking a flexible approach to facilitate delivery of the best possible project. Knowledge and experience of Stage One HLF funding would be a distinct advantage.
